Big Book Tag

For this tag, all you have to do show off the 5 biggest books on your shelf that you have read, and 2 big books that you have not read. I was not tagged and I don’t know who created the tag but it seems fun to do this. Also 2015 will be a year in which I plan to read a lot of big books.

Like always, I tell you which Movies I watched in November and which books I red. The Movies will have my IMDB Rating and the Books my Goodreads Rating. I had a lot to do at work, so I could not read as much as I would have liked to. But still I managed to read 10 books.

Books:

Horns by Joe Hill – Ig’s life is miserable. His girlfriend was murdered and he is the number on suspect in the case. But Ig obviously did not to the deed. He loved Merrin more than anything else in the world. Ig wakes up one morning with an awful headache. He discovers that there are horns growing out of his head. With these horns come a lot of mysterious and scary powers. People start telling Ig there darkest secrets and Ig can make them do horrible things. Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout – Katy and Daemon are back and this time they have bigger problems than the Aurum. This second book is even better than the first one. Although Katy is a very frustrating character, I liked her more than I thought I would. She has amazing chemistry with Daemon and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. 4 out of 5 points

In Time by Alexandra Bracken – In Time is a Darkest Minds novella that is set between The Darkest Minds and Never Fade. Unfortunately, I could not get into this story. Maybe I don’t have the patience for novella, because I want to rush trough them, to get to the next book. But In Time did very little for me, even when the events in this book were new. 3 out of 5 points

2014-11-28 22.02.17Unite Me by Tahereh Mafi – Unite Me is a bind up of the two novellas Destroy Me and Fracture Me. The book also contains passages of Juliette’s Diary. I loved Destroy Me because it was Warner’s Story and I love him to pieces. I was not that interested in Adams story because I think he is a very stiff and one-dimensional character. I Overall enjoyed Unite Me because WARNER. 4 out of 5 points

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin – Since Mara Dyer woke up in a hospital strange things are happening to her. Mara is not normal and she needs to know, what brought her into the hospital in the first place. I loved this book. After the first few pages I was so hooked. I could not put it down. It was suspenseful and gripping and I loved the concept. 4 out of 5 points

The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin – After reading the Unbecoming of Mara Dyer I immediately started the second book in the trilogy because the first two book both end on major cliff hangers. I also loved the second book but it was even darker and depressing than the first one. 4 out of 5 points

The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin – Finally we get the answers we are all waiting for. The ending was okay but not amazing for me. I wanted more explaining, more back story and just more of everything. I’m also not happy with the final end of the story but it was still a good read. 3 out of 5 points

Undivided  by Neal Schusterman – It is finally here. The last instalment in the Unwind Dystology is released and it was amazing. It was one of the best conclusions to a dystopian series I have ever read. Everything tight up so beautifully and I flew through this book. What a great ending to an impressive book series. 5 out of 5 points

The DUFF by Kody Keplinger – Bianca’s life is not exceptional. She is not the popular girl and she has no problem with it. Until the man-whore Wesley points out that Bianca is a DUFF, a designated ugly fat friend. The DUFF is a funny and witty novel that reminded me of 10 things I hate about you, Mean Girls and Clueless. 4 out of 5 points
